Chevy High Performance Magazine Layed down some good numbers on there test truck. I think it was a little over 350hp. Had AFR heads milled to stock compression, mild cam by crane w/roller rockers,double roller chain, bassani headers, high flow cats, exhaust, CAI, Powermax programmer tuned for the cam with 10% more fuel added. I know magazines may hipe up a build so I dont know the accuracy of those numbers. Then they bolted on a blower and made 450.

 

Totally realistic. THere's a few of us here that make/made close to 340 without the AFR's, and quite a few making more that 450 FI.

 

My truck will probably hit pretty close to that but it's going to be close.......I don't want to say it will, but it'll be close. My heads are milled .045 so I'm running almost 11:1 compression. I will be hitting the rollers this up coming Friday @ Allens if I can get some bugs worked out. I have done all you can do to a 5.3 besides doing bottom end work.

you can see my numbers in my sig, this is no short belt and unlocked converter, good luck on the numbers closet red neck, there are a couple of people with heads and cam full bolt ons in rgv with 381 hp on a 5.3.

 

Thanks. I'm going to giver her hell!!! I just hope to get the most power out of this setup with the heads, cam and LS6 intake. I know that Bluecajun lost a tenth but I think that was due to tuning issues.

La Chochita from here RGV made 381whp and 369wtorque. with a 220/220 114lsa on 96* wheather

 

Mine did 331HP and 333TQ w/no shortbelt and converter unlocked in 94 deg. It did 341HP and 351TQ w/shortbelt and converter unlocked. This was with cam only and boltons.
