I am getting tired of the boredome at the diesel page. Anyone here have a modded Duramax? What were your before and after track times? What tuner did you use? I have been thinking about the Superchip tuner. Any info on that?

Ah, a DMax owner! How do you like your rig? How's the economy of it? I plan to hock off the Z71 at years end for a DMax myself. I am jonesin' hard-core to get one.

How silly power wise are you wanting to go? Just a bit more go?

Here is where I'd start:

Duramaximizer - 0 to 100hp more via a ****, helps with economy
4" Exhaust - more power, lower EGT's, about 30hp
Cold Aid Intake - more power, turbo spool to scare people, about 10hp
Tech IV Programmer - 40-112-168 hp levels that can be added to the Duramaximizer!
Propane - about another 100hp. lower EGTs, better economy
Multiclutch Torque Converter - Eliminates converter slippage under huge power when towing
Injectors - More fuel flow means more power, about 75hp
Upgraded Valve Body - Eliminates slippage in trans
Nitrous - 100 to 250hp more, depends on fuel input levels

I have a dark green metallic 2003 2500HD crewcab longbed 4x4 with Dmax/Allison.My only mods are Edge Hot Juice and a Amsoil drop in air filter.I have went 14.88@90.31 at 7300 lb.The tires were spinning damn near all the way down the track in 4 high.With traction it would run low 14s hi 13s.Several members on this board have seen me run it at the track.I know their is much more to be had but considering I have a hi 8 second LSI coming together this truck serves as a good looking tow rig more than a drag racer.I run it every now and then just to play.You should see the look on peoples face as I stomp their *** in my "slow,stinky diesel".I have beat 305 IROC,s honda civics and a boatload of other pickups.Oh by the way it gets 20mpg at 75mph on the freeway.I may do some more mods at a later date.I might spray a 200 shot to get deep in the 13,s@100 +.
