the only difference, I believe, is that the gm part includes the float and arm...
and that isn't the part that goes bad...

TBH, it would be hard for that to be of crappier quality than the OEM part. This is one part I would not hesitate to buy AM. The stock piece was poorly designed, cheaply assembled, and all corroded when I replaced it.

the new FLSU arrived today...
just need to p/u a new pump before the install...

anyone ever used a Bosch 040 fuel pump?

I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to remove the bed myself. I'm thinking that somehow I can tilt the bed at an angle and prop it up with something to give myself enough room to get to the tank.

I don't know how heavy the bed is, but I'm assuming I can lift it up myself. I just don't know HOW HIGH I need to get the bed so I can have access to the fuel tank.

Mine is a stepside and weighed probably 200# with the gate off. I had to get two friends and just lifted it all the way off and set it on some plastic storage containers. The bucket assembly is pretty long to pull out. I wouldn't want your bed to slip off and get dented or something.
