I think a large part of the Radix advantage over the Whipple is the intake manifold with direct equal length runners.Magnacharger uses the same intake on there C5 system making 100+ hp gains without an intercooler with only 5lbs of boost.

Hey Whitt how long did you have the radix kit before you blew your tranny and rear end?

Just curious as to how long these factory parts will last with a supercharger?

Do you have a stall converter? If a truck DIDNT have one with a SC do you think it would seriously increase the life of the transmission?

I plan to get a supercharger, probably the radix, BUT the thought of blowing up my transmission and rear end is NOT cool, especially since the truck is my daily driver.

SO IF I go a supercharger and didnt race the truck all the time how long could I expect the tranny to last? Any precautions I can take to prevent premature destruction?

A little over 3 months. If you run the Radix with a stock transmission and convertor and don't hammer it all the time the transmission will last a long time. That said, the temptation to hammer the gas is almost overwhelming, what did you buy the supercharger for anyway?
