Getting realy to buy one just looking around and found this one. Just wondering what kinda performance gains I could expect out of it. Is it worth buying? I figure it would be a pretty good cam being its made by GM. Dont realy know any thing when it comes to things like this so I thought I would find out from you guys.

Thats the LS1 Hotcam isn't it? Lots of LS1 cars used to run it, but found they could make more power and have better idle with other aftermarket cams. I'm sure someone has one in a truck, but I haven't seen anyone on this site.

havent used it but what other mods do you have that is kind of a big cam if you dont have a converter and it will be real laggy until the power band hits and then
so you would also definately need a tune but as far as the cam itself it looks good i would try it if i didnt get such a good deal on mine
but also with the 112 that will prolly lope like a beast as well so may not be for the daily driver if that is what you are looking for

well for right now I just have mostly just the average bolt stuff, and a little N20. I would like something that pulls in that RPM range. Yea its my daily driver and I wont something that pulls like a mule on bottom end and mid range. Also I will prbabllt be shifting out at about 5500-5600 so I dont realy think that I need something that dont start working untill 3500 or so(ex.). I plan on getting a Nelson tune and about a 2000-2500 stall some time or another. Also is getting the heads ported and polished worth the $?

well what would you guys recomend for me, Like I say I dont really know anything about this kinda stuff. I would like a good cam that pulls like a mule from about 2000 to about 6000, work really well with N20 and has a lope to it. (not beating the ground just sound pretty mean and noticeable.) I would realy like to run about a 2000 stall (I think) Also I have 3.73s in the rear and 5.3 under the hood.
