Default Any more feedback on the Trailblazer converter

Have you guys that have swapped to this converter, towed or raced with it yet? What were the results?

It works pretty good for my truck, I wouldn't want it any more stall, it feels pretty loose behind this 6.0L. Only problem I've had is the lockup clutch sliping a little at low speeds, it was real bad when towing. The fix was real easy, I just had to seach out what needed to be changed in the tune, now the clutch is setup to be 100% on or off.

So does the same have to be done for it to be ok behind a 5.3?

I don't know, but I think it has more to do with the smaller lockup clutch, than the power, a lot of people have the same problem with non-stock stalls. The factory dumps the line pressure, going to the TCC to smooth out engagement and slip a little. I was only seeing 30-40% DC when it would slip. All I had to do was change the TCC DC vs. line press vs. trans temp Offset table, all to 98%, now it runs 98% all the time. You wouldn't believe the difference, Stock setup vs fully locked.

I'm using the 2000rpm stall that's usually mated to a 4.3L V6. I wonder if they are the same converter? Anyway, I'm more than happy with mine.

have you changed the torque converter valve in the pump? also, did you remove the check ball on the input shaft?
