Default Any l92/ls3 head n/a truck in 11s or low 12s?

asking cause thinking of swapping out my 243s for l92 heads in search for more power and speed. if so, what cam, tranny, stall, gears, etc.

any input from actual personal or known experiences appreciated.

ive checked out skeets and even pm'd him but i am still trying to gather other info and possible ideas to research and study before i decide on cam. kinda limited due to ptv and lq9 not having any valve reliefs. might even sell my lq9 and go forged where i could have pistons with valve reliefs and more of a selection for a cam.

besides a rebuilt lq9 with arp rod bolts, mahle rings and clevite bearings, i already have ls3 heads, a ported l92 intake and a 3800 stall ready to go.

presently i have an lq4 with 243s and a 228-232 cam, tbss intake, and fast 90 tb.

just sold my fast lsxrt intake which i loved but ive been tempted with using the ls3 heads and ported l92 intake i got

I thought 243s were supposed to be some of the best you could get? short of shelling out 2gs+ for heads..

i know the feeling on cams and being limited, i pushed a 235/239 but never dynoed it and never ran it in cold weather, but i know i gained from it from the 232/238. wish i would have kept the shortblock and did valve reliefs and then go with a mans cam , with the stall i was running i would have taken a 10 sec pass without issues

Wish I had a timeslip to prove it right now but I don't. I'm pretty confident my truck will run mid to low 12's and I'm running 317's on my 6L. I plan to take it to the track once it cools off a little this fall.

all depends on the rest of the setup, you can port heads slightly mildly or wildly lol !! but if you dont have what it takes then youre wasting money.
