Default any ideas what i should do?

my 00 silverado 5.3 has 188.000 on the clock and im wondering when the block goes can i put a different engine in. i was thinkin about changin it to carb, is this possible

depends on how deep your wallet is and dont put a carburator on it, leave that to the old guys that dont know any better
