Hello everyone I've been keeping up with the site for a while now so I finally registered. I have a 2001 Sierra Ex-Cab 2wd with the 4.8 and have the following mods done already. Hpp3, 160 stat, volant cold air, gibbson stainless cat back (putting on a true dual into a X-flow Magnaflow soon), ls1 electric fans, and a couple of the free mods (tb-bypass, and EGR mod). Just wanted to know if it's time to go with a stall converter or put in a good cam kit? I don't really take it to the track, but I do like to play on the street. Any help would be great.

I've got pretty much the same mods as you so far, and my next mod will definately be the Yank TT3000. TBYRNE (site sponsor) has a deal right now for 10% through the end of the month on the Yank converters. I'm gonna get the fans and then the converter for myself for X-Mas (hopefully) from him. How do you like the fans?

 

Thanks for the help so far. I'm looking at buying the 2800 Vigilante that try'in2befast is selling in the truck classifieds. I just don't know if I need a stall converter for the street? I do want the ASM long tubes but that won't be till the summer. For now I have the money to get that stall or buy a cam kit, but not sure what cam I really want yet. Your help is greatly appreciated.
