Just wonder if the Throttle body and intake manifold are in different on the 4.8 and 6.0?

i thought the 6.0 intake was different???

i read that in a chevy high erformance so it mught just be the truck intake in general

 

pretty sure the intakes are the same for all three 4.8/5.3/6.0 But i think the 6.0 has a larger 80mm throttle body

Intakes are the same.....but the 6.0 has the 80mm throttlebody vs. the 75mm on the 4.8/5.3

 

Has the 6.0 always used the 80mm TB?

 

I believe so. Should I find an 80mm cable TB to use versus my 5.3's TB??? Also, depending on the year the 6.0 intake has the EGR tube hold blocked off. Just a minor difference.

 

I have been totally unsuccessful finding a cable operated thottle body with an 80mm throttle blade. I've even had one guy that ports & polishes them that there is no difference. Right now I'm using my 5.3 throttle body on the 6.0, and it seems to be working ok.

 

Thats what im gonna do, use my old ported TB.
