Default Anti seize on plugs?

One question. Does everyone use anti-seize agent when installing plugs into the aluminum head vortec motors?
I bought the NGKtr55 to replace my stocks, and the stock plugs have no anti seize on them. They were clean as a whistle when I took them out. The 99 yamaha R1 bike I sold last year had some type of antiseize on its plugs and obviously it had an aluminum head on it. It would seem to be a good idea to prevent stripping of the threads when removing. Thanks.

I always use it. No sense in risking a seized plug over a .15 tube of anitseize.

Hey TG, I work on BMW's with aluminum heads and I ALWAYS use antisieze. It is worth using it. Alot of times it disapates so it won't look like any is on there. If I am not mistaken I have heard that copper is the only antisieze to use on LS1's. Its a good preventative measure.

I too use that stuff on plug swaps, makes life much easier. I also use it on 02 sensors...you ever tried pulling one off a 15 year old vehicle you too will see why!

Sorta like dielectric grease on plug wires and other electrical connections, they come apart far easier when that stuff is on. Nothing like plug wire where you pull the little connector out of the boot to ruin an entire set of wires.

Thanks for the info guys. I am still wondring why my stock plugs appear to be void of anti-seize. They are c lean to the touch as well. Hmmmmm?? I work im the machining trade and we use anti-seize to hol the screws on cardide inserts cutters, but the anti-seize is a copper based product. will this work as well? Is it safe for aluminum heads? I thought I saw someone talking about a copper based product in one of the other posts. Maybe its all the same type of product.
Someone also spoke of a clear type of anti-seize. Anyone know the brand names? thanks again.
