Default another header ?

Looking at my mods down below would I really gain anything by going with longtubes?Or would I loss any performance?

currently: edelbrock shorties and jeg's catless y pipe

I always read these header threads and most of the time everyone seems to see some gains with going to longtubes, I however did not see these gains with my setup. I wish i had taking the $1400 and put towards other mods that would have been more of a power gain.low end torque loss for me

Here's my take: While I saw no real huge gains (10/10) over the shortys I see long tube headers as a must to get to the next level. It is not the individual player that makes the team. You may quote me on that.

Seriously, I doubt I'd be running as well on the big end without them.

Nah, you got me beat already.

Your exhaust is pretty free flowing already so I don't know how much longtubes would help.

Longtubes won't give you that much of a performance gain but your exhaust note will sound much better...

down low it will feel slower but the gain up top is worth it!
