IMO if you have a 3400 stall then your drivability standards are pretty high. 222/224 112 would still be borderline ok for a stock stall. Of course I draw the DD line with camshaft duration around 240-250* @.050".

Well I ordered everything today. I ordered a Comp 222/224 .560 .568 112lsa with comp lifters pushrods valvesprings retainers, valve locks and a new timing chain set. I also am going to go ahead and put new valve seats on it too so Im picking those up from the stealership tomorrow they only wanted 36 bucks for the whole set so thats not to bad. All that should work well with the new stall and other mods that will be coming soon.

IMO, I wouldn't tow anything with that high of a stall (3400). I have a TCI3500 in mine right now. I haven't really towed anything larger than my mower and small trailer, but I don't want to chance it. Even with the B&M SuperCooler.
I think you'd enjoy that cam and that stall. I'm enjoying mine, and it's not too far from what you want. Now I just need the giggle gas
. Actually I need an Eaton...BAD.
I haven't checked my mileage yet, but I was getting 18-20Hw, and 15-17Ci. I'm sure it's like -134mpg now
. I'm gonna get a Live Nelson tune, hopefully soon.

I know everyone is telling me no to tow with the 3400 but I towed with my 3000 and didnt have any cooling problems what so ever. I dont have a normal tranny cooler like everone else. I have a 40,000GVW cooler that is twice the capacity of the run-of-the-mill B&M coolers. My Cooler
Here is a pic of how big it is just to give you an idea

I think I will be fine towing unless I get into some extremely hilly terrain and am towing over 5000#s which if Im going to be getting in to that kind of situation Ill borrow my buddy's truck or my dads.

I tow a 20 foot dual axle trailer with 5 4wheelers(little over 6000#s) on it about once a month about a 100 miles round trip plus just other odd and end crap. When we have parties at the beach I usually pull the trailer down there loaded with fire wood. One of my buddies has a 28 foot Robalo cuddy cabin offshore fishing boat that weighs in at a little over 8000#s when loaded with fuel and the fresh water tank filled along with all the other fishing crap so I need to keep my towing ability and John from Fuddle Racing assured me with the size clutch that is in my converter that I can keep factory towing capacity as long as I keep it cool. If the cooler isnt up to the task then Ill add another one and put e-fans on it.
