Default Am I retarded??

I have been looking all night long and I can't find anyone that sells factory replacement heads (no tricks, no performance upgrades) for an LM7 (2002 5.3L) for the life of me.

I have seen them before, and I think that they were fairly cheap (250 each +/-). Can someone help me out.

Thanks.

looking to freshen up the motor. Its got a 132,000K on it. The lifters are knocking, and I imagine it can't hurt to put some fresh heads on the motor.

Well, thats a good idea, but I don't know if I can do that in a weekend. I know that I can swap heads, but I have never disassembled them. Plus, if they are already assembled, then I don't have to worry about doing something wrong. I would need someone looking over my shoulder the first time I take them apart, because my wife needs the truck to go to work.

I figure for 400+/- for a set of assembled brand new heads, thats a fair deal.

i would replace valve seals, replace the springs, relap the valves and just pressure wash the bare heads.
