Default Airaid..........

Hey guys, in the never ending quest to get out trucks just right there are the smallest details. Another detail I'm zeroing in on is the intake tract; does anyone have any experience with Airraid components? Really all I wanna do is replace the intake tube to let more bark thru as the stock tube has a bulge acting as a resonator, for political correctness for all I know. I'd just like to as any and everyone in the know about fitment of the airaid peice. Here's the part in question.......

Fits great and an awesome option when keeping the stock air box.

I just put one on my 04. Fits great. Since I put E-fans on at the same time I got the one for 05-07's because the fan shroud is smaller on E-fans and allows more room for the slightly bigger tube. I got mine online at Autozone. They occasionally run a special where you get a $25 gift card if you spend over $100. Made the cost of the tube $112.

I had one. It was fine and it fit well. I bought it online from Advance Auto Parts. I dug up a coupon code online that made it $86 with free shipping. Ended up replacing it with a black powdercoated Ebay system for half that price.

i put one on my 2012 and the rubber connector was a little short so i called airraid and they sent me a longer bellows for free. also with a k&n filter that setup flowed better than any aftermarket cai.

Here is the one for the 05-07 classic I put on my 04 after installing the e-fans with the extra clearance.

I originally had the tube only on my 2010 6.2, but ended up getting the box later. The box does help. I traded my 2010 in a couple months ago and installed the same setup on the new truck. I think everything fit except one bolt lineup on the box. It helps, but there is an air girgling sound that I don't like. I'm not sit wig it from the tube or TB trying to suck more air. I've been looking for a larger replacement TB. But no luck. I have an LS7 TB from my old truck, but the electrical plugs are different.
