I always thought that 14.7 for N/A was ideal at cruise. And 13.0 at WOT. 11.0 is kinda rich.

That's about optimum but can be borderline pingable. For max effort I'd shoot for 12.8-13.0 at WOT N/A

Thats a good question Ive been wondering the same thing and talking with people about that same thing. up high I think these engines like lots of timing and fuel thats something Ive noticed with tunes like nelsons and they perform well. My local tuner doest neccesarily agree and though I gained 10 hp from his tune it doesnt perform time wise as well as nelsons did. And in the end its about going fast not racing on the dyno. If Im wrong im shore someone will correct me and hopefully farmtruck will jump in.
Im starting to get into this tuning thing and its a pain. I miss turning distributors and messing with screws on the side of a carberator my simple monkey brain could absorb that alot easier.

But from what Ive gathered that seems about right I would try and lean it a little at wot and see what happens.

If your truck is naturally aspirated approx. 12.5-12.8:1 should give you best power at wot..
Approx .85 - .87 If you are using Lambda

If you are looking for a lean cruise "Best Fuel Mileage" 16.5:1 is a good start..
Approx 1.12 Lambda

if you only gained 10 hp from a tune then it needs to be tweeked. these engines run better with more timing. the dyno thing is a good tool to get may the most hp out of the truck but i firmly believe that the vehicle will need to be driven and tuned for better results. i have seen nelson mail order tunes gain 20 to 25 hp.
