Advice
#1
I wanting to get a cam and long tubes for my truck and I need advice on what all I will have to do in order to make it work. Like what would be the best cam for daily driver but also good at the track. I have also heard that I will need a tune instead of the programmer I have now which I am wanting to get rid of. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not good at suggesting a cam.. someone else will chime in im sure. As far as a custom tune.. yes you do need something other than that programmer... either get on a dyno or do a mail order (im gonna suggest finding a good dyno tuner tho)
depending on the cam... you might need to also swap out your springs.. usually 918 springs will do with a daily driver/mild track cam. A higher stall converter (depending on whatever cam you go with).
for the long tubes, you'll need the obvious (gaskets and possibly new header bolts incase the stockers are no good, i'd replace them anyway)... but have you decided if you are going to go with a y-pipe or true duals? cats or no cats?

Yeah I am gonna go with a Y-Pipe with no cats. As far as a dyno tuner I don't know of any off the top of my head but I live in Houston so I'm sure there are a couple. Just out of curiousity what do you think my truck would run after this. My best was a 15.20 @ 89 mph and it was dead heat June when I did that. Thanks for the info man.
