ok, I just re-programmed my computer with the superchips tuner and it said "Programmed installed is 2002 5.3L w/ Magnacharger" but I have a 2001. Could this be the problem? I am also thinking cloged fuel filter.

It's got to be the right program for the year to work right. I'll bet once you get that fixed up you'll be very happy with your purchase. The good news is that with only a $2k outlay you have a littl money to get any issues worked out. That was a hell of a score right there!

If you do not have a tuner that is for your truck/vin# then I am sure it is not working properly? Where did you get the programmer?

I forgot to do that with my K&N cold air install, was so excited to take it out and thrash on it...I was like WTF when I punched it....got that figured out soon enough thou. I was suprised that the engine ran OK with one of its major sensors not sending data.
