Default Adapting Stock Fuel Lines

What are you guys doing to adapt your stock fuel lines to work with aftermarkt fuel rails? I have an idea, just not sure it is a good one. Pictures would be great if you can.

I cut the factory connector off, got a barbed fitting stuck it in clamped it down then got an npt to an fitting to connect the new fuel line to my rails. Been like that for a year now no problems at all.

I would get a hard line fitting before doing that^

They make fitting to get off the factory hard line stuff, onto AN.

Russell 5/16" Straight Fitting
Russell 3/8" Straight Fitting

Will these plug into the stock fuel lines just like the stock fuel rail fittings do?
