ABS light came on???

If the system picks up a fault, i.e.-shorted or open sensor, low sensor voltage, etc., it will throw the light on, if your on the brakes or not. You couldn't get a code with your Superchips because the engine controls and ABS are 2 different systems...you need a scanner that has ABS capability, such as the TechII or a Snap-On scanner.
I lucked out (in a sense) when my ABS lt came on...my pump was running constantly at the same time and I was able to use a schematic to diagnose a faulty EBCM without pulling a code. I was also lucky enough to have a friend who is a service writer at a local dealer, and he goodwilled the repair for me. I just had to pay a $250 deductable, the part alone was over $800.
