Default Above 5 psi injector size for STS?

I have seen some info on this but am looking to find out what I would need for injectors and where to get them how much cst etc. if I want to run anything above 5psi with an STS turbo kit. I'm going to buy the base kit as soon as I can find someone close to me for support, and would like to get a boost controller when i want to go above 5psi. I will most likely get an intercooler after a couple of months with the base kit so I do not have to worry about high IAT readings. It is already cold here so I don't think I have much to worry about til march or so. Its not that I want to run high boost all the time just here and there for kicks and to smoke someone who needs it.

I am about to pull the trigger on this purchace finally so your help is appreciated!!

Go with the 43lb Delphi Multec II's from Racetronix they should support up to 500hp for $45 each. I noticed you have the predator. I would ditch that and go with athe Nelson Tune. I have the predator and there turbo tune was crappy and it shift way to hard.

I was planning on going back to the stock tune before I go Nelson tune, would the Predator still help me with shift points and the rest or does it screw up the Nelson tuned pcm? This is important as I would still like to have some control on the shifts and alike so I don't have to keep getting it tuned everytime I want to play with setting. also what are the stock injectors rated at? Something inthe high 30's, I'm just guessing. Thanks.

the stock ones are rated at 28lbs I think. Not sure about using the predator with a custom tune but I am sure you can make small changes with it.

It will mess up his tune. But believe me when he tunes it you won't want to mess with it. Predator is no comparison to Nelson and if you do want to make changes to shift point and so on, the updates are free. I use my predator just to scan with.

BTW I was maxing out the stock injectors just by putting the IC on.

Really? even at 5 psi on the base kit? Did you find it neccesary to upgrade the fuel pump yet?

I am going with the Delphi 43lb shorties as well.

What type of intercooler did you go with? I am a Machinist/Engineer so some fab work is not a big deal for me. One stupid question as well.....can you re-work the stock injectors to put out more flow? If so is it just a question of tooling and machinery to do the job accurately. I can order just about anything as far as tooling, or out source to another shop to do mods. What controls the rate of flow through an injector, orifice size? I know the finish in the orifice is critical but do not know the spec from factory. thanks again.

I got it on ebay from a company called Extreme turbo Systems ( 360 263 3748 )for $300 including shipping. I had it custom made to fit in line right under the passenger door and it fits perfect. The owner was a real nice guy real easy to work with. The intercooler dimension are 24"x 8" x 3.5" and the inlet and outlet are 2.5" and are centered on the tank.
