Question '00 5.3, '04 LS6 cam, & Long Tube Headers.. Do I need bigger injectors?

Hey guys, same question as above. Its currently installed in my K5 Blazer, but haven't finished the swap yet. I started thinking I might want to step up to stock 8.1 truck injectors.

Thoughts/opinions?

Thanks guys!!

And if your 5.3 has iron heads I doubt it will, but if you need some I have some for sale for $110 shipped

stock heads you will be fine
when i put 243 heads on with my ls6 cam i maxed out the stock injectors in my 5.3
Then upgraded to regular 8.1 truck injectors

No 5.3 ever had iron heads. Early LQ4 6.0's had iron heads.

Wouldn't hurt to go ahead and find a good deal on some bigger injectors so you have room to grow into later on.

If you're running the injectors that came with the 99, I'd upgrade to at least the stock 00-07 injectors, as the 99 injectors are a measly 19# as opposed to 24.7# on the 00 and up

Actually its prob a year model 2000, the casting dates on the heads are for November 1999.

Sorry for the confusion, I'll prob bite the bullet and buy the 8.1 injectors. The only future plans (if any) is going to a 6.0 long block down the road.
