Default 99-00 6.0 crank length. what to do?

I got a complete 99 engine to go in my 01 SS before I understood the crank was .400 longer. heh. live and learn. I dont need the heads, exhaust, intake or anything like that. Is there any reason I cant use the block if I get the right crank? I dont want to tear into it if I will wind up looking for another short block.

Yes, you can just swap the crank. Be sure and get one from a 6 liter or it will not be balanced properly (they are drilled differently to make up for the weight differences in pistons) The only thing the one you have is good for is for use with a 4l80e.

Thinking I might sell them along with the crank, rods, pistons and whatever else I can't use...

Are the pistons flat top, or do they have a small recessed dish in the top?

Let me know what you want for the parts, I may pick up some spares. Thanks.

I have not pulled the heads yet. I wonder since this is a running engine if I should sell it and look for a shortblock... what's it worth?

it isn't worth a whole lot unless you can find someone who is going to do a 4L80-E swap in their truck anyway. I don't know an exact # of what they will sell for, but if all you are using is the block, pistons, and rods, I would at least give selling the whole motor a shot first.
