Default 97 gmc 305 performance?

soon my daily driver will be a 97 gmc swb pickup 305 so i can park the bird and swap for my built 6.0l..and i cant stand stock..so where can i get some headers,and exhaust for this truck..and some cheap hp gains?..got any links guys..i appreciate it....thanks

I'm not sure I'd bother.....the 305 was not a performance motor, it was designed as an economy V8 and will require alot more than it's worth to perform well. Check out GMHTP's web site and look for "Project Blue Thunder"...they did a build-up on a 305 and it was pretty expensive for the power output they got

the 305 vortec isn't so bad. i'd recomend an L35 converter with a good shift kit. use tunercat for programming. this is a huge difference changing the stock programming. i did an L30 last week. much better now. i'd also recomend a k and n fipk as well as gibson or something of the type cat back exhaust. just those few mods will make it a much better daily driver.
