Default 95lb injectors run better than the 57's!!

tonight desielgeek helped me swap out my 57lb injectors for some big dog 95lb units. the 57's were high impeadance and the 95's are low impeadance(requires a high current driver(part of megasquirt)).

the thing runs fantastic. it starts better, it idles better, it free revs better, the tuning is not course at all. made a few quick runs and my previous tuning is still prety close. it seems a little rich down low and a little lean up top. probably have to spend 1/2hour tweaking that if i want it perfect.

a short wot blast and i saw all of 54% dutycycle. that should leave me some room to grow

time for a new header and some nitrous, the nitrous will be a dry set up with megasquirt adding the extra fuel. i am prety sure i will be finding the limit of my fuel pump set up and the stock 3/8" feed line. i log my fuel presure so i should see it before i have too much of a problem.

Were you close to maxing out the 57's?

WHat's the stock PCM as far as impeadance goes? Low or high?

Yeah, I thought that if I ever got out of control and needed to run big injectors, I could use one of these in conjunction with the factory PCM: http://www.acceleronics.com/versafueler.htm

Seems like low impedance injectors are the way to go.

Just out of curiosity why did you decide to go to a dry nitrous setup?

4 x 14.7psi = 58.8psi

4 atmospheres of pressure, or 4 bars of pressure
