Vortec didn't come out till '96 so it should be the old 1st gen small block and have throttle body fuel injection. There not very powerful motors, and don't get great mileage either. I had a '94 Z71 Xcab, and it was a good truck for me. I bought it with 120k on the clock and drove it 176k before I sold it. Never had to do any major work to it, just the usual mateniance. It was show some signs of ware like the famous wif of smoke on start up from the valve guides and a decent oil leak from the back of the intake manifold.

I had a '95 ECSB Z71 that I LOVED !!!!, I drove it 175K before trading it in on my curent truck.

The TBI 350 isn't terribly powerful in stock trim but being a Gen I small-block it has ALOT of potential, The mods I did to mine were: Vortec head swap, GMPP Vortec to TBI manifold, HOT cam spec'd custom Crane grind cam, Holley 650cfm TB, Turbocity matched injectors, Hooker LT's, Shift kit, and custom tune from a local guy with Tunercats

I put 285hp to the tires with just the head/manifold/TB swap and the custom tune, I never had it dyno'd after the cam and LT's but it was a hell of a lot more powerful with the cam in it....I'd guess in the 350ish RWHP after the cam and LT's
