wheres the best place to get some comp 918 springs. also im getting a thunder tr227 cam. would you guys recommend getting pushrods with it? thanks

Not really too sure who has got the 918's for the best price and yes I would definitely get some hardened pushrods.

When I first put my 216/224 cam in I didn't have my hardened pushrods yet and I bent two of my stock pushrods about a week after the cam install.

i got to find out all this soon. i guess i can get the pushrods while im in there but i dont want to pay an arm and leg for the springs

I think I paid about $160 for my 918's directly from Comp.

i got a buddy that said he can get a deal on the comp stuff so i better give him a pm tonight.

I got mine thru Thunder Racing
I think they were around 160

Im interested in your results and impressions
of the tr227 once you get it in and tuned

Just go on ahead and buy the cam package from Thunder Racing. You'll save $60 w/o gaskets. That's what I did. I even waited for a sale, and got everthing for a nice good deal .

Thunder is as good as the rest of the sites with the springs. Just get a package as mentioned above.
