I'd skip the 90mm on a 4.8...it's WAY too much TB for an engine that size, you'll never be able to max out airflow through your stock TB on a 4.8

the intake and the TB arent worth the price if you are SI.. this coming from ls1 car guys that do it on SI cars and definitly dont see the bang for the buck. If money is no object, well then its a different story.

no a H/C setup or a blower would work fine with them since they need more air to make more power. Stock cubes doesnt need alot

Ya you can. I am right now. If he went FI and started to move some air then he would.
But if he stays N/A then there is no way he would ever need one.

PLEASE explain HOW a naturally aspirated 4.8 liter engine....even one running to 7500 rpm's is capable of maxing out a throttle body capable of flowing over 800cfm ??????

doing the math:

294cid x 7500rpm /3456 (a mathmatical constant) gets you 638cfm.....and this is assuming 100% volumetric efficiency. 638cfm is not anywhere near the max capacity of the 4.8/5.3 TB.

Even my 6.0 at 7000 rpm isn't capable of doing this:

364cid x 7000rpm /3456 = 737cfm, at roughly 91%ve I'd be looking at 671cfm.

Please post up a log showing me that your flowing more than 55.3 lbs/hr NA (or 800cfm NA) and I'll retract this whole thing.
