Default 9.62 1/8 mile???????

What the hell? I have cam, Z06 heads, K&N, no muffler, and a Hypertech. It was 95 (temp) and I cut a .536 light. Why am I going so slow? Do I need headers, converter, or just a 250 shot?

What is the weight?
What size wheel and tire?

Could be what I'm suffering from, Detonation and knock retard. Still waiting to verify if is false or not. Gotta get some race gas and make a track run on A-Tap.

95* is hot and that and hummidity could be robbing you of a few 10th's. Are you having any traction issues? What cam is it, could be robbing you of low end puch in the 1/8th.

Single cab, short wheelbase, 265/65r16, and a 1/8 tank of gas. Spun very little. 212/218 comp, a little loss in torque. No muffler hurting low end punch?

Most of your mods will assist you in the upper RPMs. Problem is, it takes so long to get to them, that the 1/8th mile is gone before you know it. I am sure your truck feels like a jet on the freeway, but from a stop, you aren't much better than stock. I am in the same boat.

Your solution: nitrous - torque in a bottle. It will really wake up that low end and suppliment your uper rpms as well.

I took about 1.5 seconds off my 1/8th mile time on nitrous. 10.4 to 8.8

All throttle no bottle if I can. However there is nothing wrong with the gas. (I have a LS1 kit with a 15 lb. bottle still in the plastic.) I want at least 8.8 in the 1/8th.

This was my 8.8 1/8 mile pass...All Motor

04/06/02 Carlsbad Raceway
4" Intake, removed headlight, HPPIII, UD pullies, ASM Headers, Cut-outs open, no weight redux, 1/4 tank gas, launched @ 1500 rpm, PI Vig 3500, 26x11.50x16 ET Streets
.........R.T. .......0.561
.........60 ft ......1.908
.........330 ft .....5.640
.........1/8 ET .....8.799
.........1/8 MPH ....77.24
.........1/4 ET .....13.918
.........1/4 MPH ....95.91

I say you need a 2800-3600 stall to maximize that cam's potential in your combo.

I am going though the traps at 76 mph, I believe that the hole shot is my problem.
