Default 8.1L in a half ton - it's now been done!!

I saw it in a truck mag when i was at the grocery store. I was kinda in a hurry so I didnt read it - just looked at pics. It caught my eye at first b/c the engine had an aluminum intake manifold. So I looked at the caption under the pic and it was an 8.1L! Holy #%@* good luck hooking up...

It looked like a pretty expensive conversion. It is running hte 8.1L and the 4L80E from the HD truck they stole the stuff out of. I wonder if they put the 'lil 5.3 back in the HD? Beware if you are buying a used HD. hehehe

What mag. was the article in? Could somebody that has the article possibly scan it and send it to me?

I'm mainly interested in what they had to do to put the 4L80E in the 1500.

That is a sweet looking truck.

I'm going to have to get under my dad's '99 2500HD Silverado and start measuring.
