What is stock hp at the rear wheel of a 8.1/allison?

I'm not sure, I dyno mine after a few mods at 290whp. TBYRNE should be able to tell you.

that sux...doesnt the 5.3s w/ the 4l60 throw down like 260????

8.1 kicks out 340 to 370 ftbls of torque in stock trim, including TM nannies, remove TM and lets the power flow. Plus Allison trans sucks up a lot of power, But can handle high torque. Good diesel trans and that about it.
