Can I do it without blowing up my 5.3? I plan on putting colder plugs in, but I dont wanna pop the motor

If its a stock 5.3 it can handle 100-150 shot easy if set up right.

A stock 5.3 will take a 150 shot without issue.....as long as your fuel pressure is good and your engine is in good shape
