i agree with that. 20psi is what it takes to get a diesel up to acceptable stock performance...20psi on a 6.6L gas engine though...

turbomax, dont buy a predator. its a waste of money. even on teh diesels. also my pops made 800 rwtq on his duramax with a stock exhaust. it flows great. yours has a cat. dump that sucker and go with a bigger downpipe. otherwise no restriction.

as for number of psi.

remember its a measurement of restriction. the dodges have small heads that dont flow well. the duramax doesnt. thus small boost numbers, but big cfm and big power.

turbo-max.....not sure of others experience in the Duramax world.....but the Predator is a very good programer for the LLY, which you have. I would also consider the Edge Juice as it is a very strong contender and has lots of features. The Predator for the LB7 was not much to say the least. Head over to the DieselPlace.com and do a little research. Plenty of great people over there....BMDMAX, Mtomac, and myself hang out here a bit and have a good hand on the upgrades for the Duramax....and don't mind helping out.

The name turbo595 was made for a reason...and that was a year ago.

The Predator is a great mod for the Duramax on both LB7's and LLY's. My old Lb7 with a Predator and no muffler ran an 8.80. It was an extended cab 3/4 4wd. My new truck is a crew cab, 4wd dually and with just a Predator ran a 9.50. Thats pretty good for a 7500lb dually and $400.

The stock turbo on the Max will make 35 pounds of boost, I have been running mine that hard for quite a while. 1500+ foot pounds does wake up even a 7,000 pound truck pretty good. I have posted these before but they show some good Duramax action:
