listen to this guy. stock crank with forged rods and pistons. use the rest of the money you would have spent on a short lived 408 and buy a turbo kit. make more power on the same budget.

For some reason the best builds lately all seem to be boosted 370s. Don't try to reinvent the wheel, unless you have stupid money. In that case send me some.

370 with boost. Easier on the wallet, better on fuel, kick *** power and a combo that will last along time.

I like the lasting along time. Knowing nothing about turbos...should I go with a forged crank also? How much boost can a forged engine take? Thinking turbo over a blower?

So is stroking an LS motor a bad idea now?

If you are staying N/A, then stroke it to the moon.

I'm old so I think old school. Was always brought up with more displacement. But then again I'm driving it on the street so it needs to stay together. Staying n/a would keep me in my comfort zone but I would be open to a turbo I reckon.

Its not a bad idea if you want to stay NA, but with boost the justification is a lot harder, IMO. A forged crank is not a bad idea depending on your goals, but I would definitely upgrade the pistons and rods.
