Default 6.2 Denali kooks headers/ small problem

2012 sierra Denali. Just installed a set of kooks 1 7/8 headers. Headers fit great just one little issue. Cyl 3 spark plug wire hits the tube. Anyone else have this problem? Run a different wire or let it hit? Thanks

try DEI heat wrapping if you let it hit the header will melt the wire

Same thing happened to me. I bought a set of taylor wires instead of the dei wrap. My build thread shows before and after.

**** I forgot about that wrap and they also make the sleeve. The wire is very tight on the header right there but I give it a try. If it won't fit do any of the cars have a 90 degree factory wire that will work?

I didnt like the contact even if I were to wrap the factory wire. The new ones dont touch at all and havent shown any sign of needing insulation.

Cool thanks for the info vette. Nice truck btw. Time to go order a set and may buy the sleeves just for the extra protection.
