What would it take to convert a 5.3L to a 6.0L?
Example is if i bought a 02' scsb 5.3L and i want to make it a 6.0L would would i have to do? Also would the 4L60E be ok..or will it need some upgrades? Sorry for the newb q <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

to go from 5.3L to 6.0L ur pretty much just gonna need a new short block. u may be able to keep your crank since its the same stroke, and then by everything else you would need (block, pistons and whatnot)

If I were doing it from scratch, I would buy a V6 truck. Get a 6.0 block built out however I wanted and add some custom tuning. No need to pay the extra $$$ for the 5.3 if you are taking it out.

I disagree, the perfect pick is the 4.8 truck. Get the wiring and all, yet you don't pay the 5.3 prices!

It looks like everything is coming together nicely. Did you take any pics of Joseph hitting you with the new cam? I heard you have .535" of knot on your head. <img src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" border="0" alt="[fight]" />
