Default 6.0L blower cam

i haven't got the 6.0L(shipping) but it should be in detroit early next week looking for suggestions for a cam, currently I'm running a 02 LS-6 in the 5.3 considering swapping that in, or having a custom one ground. Looking for everyone's thoughts. maybe even the Compcams 212/218 extreme RPM

I'm going with a Comp Cams 228/234 .588/.598 115+4 for my new 408.

I like whitt's cam. I might would go a little smaller though, maybe 224/230 .55'ish lift and 114 or 115.

whitt where are you getting your 408 from, or are you building it yourself? I'm not so sure I want that much duration @ .050"

It seems like with a Radix and stock cubic inches, the one Lingenfelter cam with 207/220 duration on a 117.5 LSA would give you a boost building knock out punch.

But I'm no expert in this area.

the LPE cam does sound really good, short duration ,big lift, I think that might be my camshaft.

Look at the overlap instead of the duration,228/234 115 only has 1 degree of overlap to mantain boost with the large displacement motor.The block is coming from Keith Craft and the heads are TEA 6.0s.I think I'll find out just how muck power a Radix can support.

I can't wait til you get it all together. How much compression are you going to run?

I was thinking it might be best at about 9.1 or so .. I think that's going to be about as much as the RADIX can feed without overspinning to bad.

I should have 9.0:1 compression with dished JE pistons and 77cc chambers.I'm also going with steel main caps and ARP head and main studs.I'm hoping to have everything together by the end of March.

Are you going to O-ring the heads too? I hope you plan on AP rod bolts after going through this much too.

How much boost do you plan on running?

Off topic, more so than already, but you're running a single in/dual out flowmaster aren't you? I have a flow 40, and it sounds like a jet engine when I get on it hard. My dad compared it to the old beaters you see with the squashed tip tailpipes, how they make a whoosh sound. Does yours sound like that too? I think I have reached the capacity of that muffler.
