He's correct, the difference is in the tuning. Running the 4L65E allowed them to change the tuning as well as having a much different tow rating which didn't work the engine as hard allowing a bit more agressive tuning also. If I recall they had a lower restriction exhaust on the Denali.

BTW, you can swap out your balance tube from your old 5.3 onto the Van intake. You may have to change your driver side fuel rail as well, as it has a vacuum operated regulator built into it. It's no big deal tho, and definately doesn't require removing or swapping the intake as long as you have the fuel rail / balance tube off your current motor.
These balance tubes? Can you explain more about them and what they are? Are these the tubes that distribute the fuel from the feed bank fuel rail to the nonfeed bank fuel rail?? IF not what?

Why are my fuel injectors on my 2003 2500 hd differant than my 2002 5.3, but the same on a 1500 4.8 5.3 and 6.0 The fuel rails are bigger too! The nozzles have four holes an the others have two holes. Should I convert to hd set up and change the electrical connectors?
