Default 6.0 which one

Guy's got a 2000 gmc rcsb and the 5.3 is getting kind of tired so I thought about doing a 6.0 swap but was wondering what 6.0 to go with or year etc, fairly familiar with these engines (got a 69 Camaro with trailblazer 6.0 and 6.2 gmc) but these are drive by wire and kind of wanted to stay cable but not dead set on this, going to put a cam in it and boltons etc, just wondering what's the best bang for the buck. Thanks!

You would ultimately want an 05 or 06 Lq4 engine. This would give you the stronger Ls2 rods. Or you could go with an Lq9 or Ls2 which would have the stronger rods. You can swap your intake and cable throttle body onto any of these engines.
