Default 6.0 mileage help

My dad has a 2500 not an hd with the 6.0 and 3.73s. He has exhaust on it and hes looking for better mileage but dont want to lose power. Would a nelson performance tune help this?? He keeps his foot out of it pretty good so thats not the problem. Everything else is stock, even the air filter.
Thanks,
Derek

I usually get 300-350 miles to the tank with the 6 liter.

A tune will help, and some bolt ons, will improve it as well, but your only going to get so much out of the 6L, E-fans seem to be one of the better improvements, the 3.73 gears are already helping you, what mpg does he get now? In my 2500hd with 4.10s and a 6L the best I could ever get was 14mpg
