Default 6.0 here I come

well looks like Im gonna have to put together my 6.0 I had layin around for my truck...I went and tried to put my t56 behind my 4.8 and that didnt work out...my crank stuck out an extra 1/2" or so and the starter wont reach the ring gear...so unless someone convinces me that changin my crank in the 4.8 is a better idea and putting together a foraged 6.0, thats the route Ill be going...

I didnt want to do this right away 1st because I dont really have the money but I need my truck so I gotta do what i gotta do...also this means that I need to upgrade the rear more and upgrade my clutch as well...Im not really impressed and this moment

I run my NV3500 with my 6L with no problems. Don't listen to all that hogwash about them being weak. They just shift slow

I have blown up 2 slave cylinder behind my stock 4.8 and the 3 one is acting up occasionally. My 5 speed is about to puke to. I change the fluid with the oil change and it keeps looking worse and worse. Thats all i have to say about the 5 speed! Also Good luck with the 6.0 my friend, sorry about the bad luck.

Dustin

well just with my 4.8, my 5 speed was complaning A LOT! moanin and groanin and poppin outta gear...but for 175k I cant blame it...so it was a wiser choice to upgrade seeing the turbo will be on shortly...

the 6.0 is at the machine shop now getting the goodies...

Uhm, Dustin, what the hell do you do to your truck to go through that many slaves? Are they not being installed right? I shift constantly at 6K RPM's and with 41K on the clock I've never had any complaints from the clutch. Just the shifting is slow but I don't let the clutch out until it's fully seated into gear.
