Smile 6.0 or FI?

Okay so I already know I don't want to keep my 4.8, And eventually I will have a nice healthy 6.0 with some form of boost. But I am not sure which way I want to go.

Option A
-Buy a 6.0 rebuild it and swap that in to replace my 4.8
-Turbo later

Option B (hope it doesn't blow)
-Buy turbo kit/super charger and strap it to the 4.8
-Later swap in 6.0

Option C (Smarter option)
-Wait until I have both the Built 6.0 and FI
-Swap in at same time

So go ahead and tell me what I should do with my life because I am unsure!

Im trying to do option c now and wish i would of went with a. To build a nice FI setup with built motor takes quite a bit of money and time if you want to do it right, where as you could be cruising around in a cammed 6L having fun while you save up for the other stuff is my 2cents..
Also depends on what your trying to make/do with it, you can make 500hp (which is still alot to most people) pretty easily on boosted 4.8 w/cam fwiw..

If the mileage is low on the 4.8, that option is better.

If you have the ability to purchase the 6.0 right now, and make sure that engine is good, do that, and keep driving the 4.8.

You will be ahead by doing as much as you at one time. Either way, if you are doing most of the work or you are having someone do some of the work for you.

The 4.8 is just about to crack 100k miles and I will be doing all the work myself. Im leaning really heavy on the option A because The 4.8 leaves me wanting low end power so badly.

I vote B as well. Depending on your power goals you may not need a 6.0.......

So for me I have a 2006 with a 5.3 with a TVS1900, and a 99 Sierra(orginally 5.3) with a Heads cam lq9.

I would 1000000% go option B. Get the Forced induction of your choice and strap it to the 4.8. Start to save for Option A until the little 4.8 blows. Youd be suprised what a 4.8 can handle and produce.

I'd just turbo the 4.8. Boost is the replacement for displacement.
