Default 6.0 engine questions

im considering mildly building my 02 escalade ext. i just bought the 14 bolt for the rear. have done some reading about swapping in a 4l80e.
my question us what can be done to the 6.0 to add power, reasonably?
not ready to get into trickflows and a 408 just yet.
can you do the l92/76 on this motor?
i am considering a possible future turbo as well but would really like to maintain awd.
I have heard mixed reviews as to the front differential strength.
any tips and advice is appreciated.

what do you consider reasonably?

a tune is a great investment, after that you could do a cam and new torque conveter, then add some heads, and add a blower or turbo.....really depends on how much you want to spend and what your goals are.

like for instance the ls6 intake is a awesome upgrade for the ls1 and the heads from a 5.3 on a ls have been known to do really well too

I would go the L92 route, but you need to work out the returnless vs. your fuel return system. I think it's been talked about somewhere.

Then some long tubes and tune it.

ok, great so the l92 combo is feasable..? is this not a common and proven setup on trucks? tune will be without a doubt, anyone know if the ext will accept silverado headers?

L92 with a decent cam and matched torque converter sounds good...not sure about the headers though...

moving this to the GM Engine and Exhaust Performance section to hopefully get you an answer about the headers

^^ thanks alot fellas for the replies and suggestions. ive done some reading on here and from what i gather the car intake makes more power all around. might as well go ahead and get it. I am thinking since i can get the svt 42 green" injectors really reasonable i may get a set for upgrading purposes. do the ud pulley's help on these trucks as well

Are you wanting top end power or low end grunt?

I'd imagine in that big SUV that you'd want the low end, so I say just throw a TVS2300 on it with a tune and shift kit and you're good.
