Is this to big a cam;114lsa 224/224 579"/579" in a LQ4 and ported heads. Alreadt got a TT3000 and 4.10's. Daily driver also that tows about 5000lbs occasionally.

Not too big at all! There's a few peeps on here running a 224 cam with 6.0's, with excellent results. Just do a search. However you might want to run a wider LSA given that you are supercharged.

Not to ***** of the 'ol post, but this really applies:

How would one go about lowering the CR on an LQ4? I thought the biggest CC size was from these heads at 72cc. Do they make bigger ones, or do you have hog out the CC? I don't think there's much to be gained from thicker gaskets either.

The only way I know is just the gaskets. Have'nt seen anything bigger than the 72's. Seen smaller chambers, but that doesn't help.

I've seen TEA get 77cc combustion chambers but, that is as big as I think you can go, not sure what head that is on either.

You could also get some fat Cometic gaskets. That will lower it a bit more but not much.
