I want to get a 6.0. Hopefully punching it out to 408, or even 427. I want to start N/A, but eventually go with a Radix, Kene Bell, or Magnuson later. Can I use the LQ9 heads for n/a then swap to LQ4 heads for f/i to drop the comp ratio, or mill stock heads, then go back stock to drop the c/r? I love high comp engines, but know 11:1 isnt good for f/i.
But it would be coo till it blew

Matt, that's what I'm going through right now. You have to decide whether you're gonna go n/a or FI before you start because your going to run into problems. I thought of running my lq9 n/a with heads and cam until I'm ready for the SC, but 9/10 I'm going to lose the #7 piston then I'll have to start over. Other option is to put forged pistons in first and go from there...... but, should you go high compression or low compression??????? That depends on future plans. If you definately want the SC, you should definately put forged pistons before you start.

I'm most probably staying with the 364 for gas mileage. 408 would really drink. I also spoke to Chris at Thunder (just being curious) and quoted me about $5,000 for the stroker kit. I have mine stripped down to the short block right now. I'm still up in the air whether I want to deal with setting up the procharger and the possibilities of everything that could go wrong.
