if it's power mods you are looking for start with the basics....Intake, Exhuast, Headers, Custom computer tuning (Westers). Then you cam move to the more advanced stuff like ported heads, bigger cam, ported TB, bigger injectors, stroker crank , forged rods. If you are just looking for a simple bolt-on horsepower improvement look at nitrous or a supercharger...mitrous is BY FAR the best bang for the buck you can find

I have a 1999 OBS Tahoe 2WD 4DR that has the L31/5.7 iron block.

I have a UPD airbox, dynomax catback hpp3 tuning, 3.73's, Eaton posi, and a stock descreened MAF.

I have a Yank 2800 converter going in next month.

Doing the catback gave me low end + power.

The UPD airbox gave me mid range + power.

3.73's gave me more low end grunt over my stock 3.08's but my gas mileage has gone down perceptibly.
