Default 5.7 ls1 heads

My friend has a 99 Z28 and wants to swap heads with me for a couple of hundred bucks since i'm going to be getting rid of my truck anyway.

Any negative effects from doing this on my truck?

I believe the 5.7 heads will lower your compression. You can have the 5.7 heads decked to raise it back to stock or above, but make sure if you do a cam swap that you have valve clearance.

It will lower your compression, but the 5.7 intake valves are bigger. I am not sure it will be worth the swap.
