Default 5.7 heads on 5.3 truck?

Can a set of ported 5.7 heads that flow ~306/265 (through a pipe, btw) be put on a 5.3l 2002 Tahoe with say a 218/218 or similar cam? I know that some compression may be lost going from the 5.3s to the 5.7s, but surely more power would be gained than lost due to the porting. How would a 2002 2wd Tahoe run with a set of TEA S2 5.7s milled .020, 218/218 or similar, headers and exhaust, pulley, and a 2800-3200 stall?

Just curious
