Default 5.7 heads on 4.8

i just came across a set of 241 casting ls1 heads for free, all the intake valves were bent. if i got the heads shaved down a little could make more power than the 4.8 heads, also would they bolt up?? and what size valves should i go with

they will bolt up, you would have to shave them .050 to keep your compression the same, problem is the 3.77 bore compared to the 3.90 bore the 5.7 has, the valves will be very close to the wall.

You can run them but it will drop the comp alot, might work good if you intend to put a turbo or blower on, othwise you will need them milled like stated above

Stock 241 heads don't flow any better than stock 862 or 706 5.3 heads.
