Default 5.7- ?

Ok so I've been convinced by my buddy who owns a camaro LS1 to put an LS1 in my truck. So I'm going to lay it on the table and hope for as much input as possible. I own a 96 GMC Yukon with 298288 Miles as of today, so an engine is going to eventually be mandatory (hopefully this summer). Im 17 and money is tight for me, but im saving up! SO my questions are which block to use, what to look for, and which will bolt up to my 4L60e easiest? (i just got a new one about 4,000 miles ago.) How hard will it be (motormount wise and wiring wise) and is a 5.3 the best route to go? Ok thats all i can think of now! ANY HELP/Opinions are appreciated!

I've heard of a few guys that have swapped LS1's into older body style trucks. Some of the people on ls1truck.com could probably help you out with advice. Here's the website -->ls1truck.com
